What Can I Do With A Major in Math?

A major in mathematics is good preparation for a variety of careers, many of which make no special use of mathematics itself, but do require the ability to reason carefully and express oneself clearly. Plymouth State’s mathematics program provides students with sufficient background of theory and practice so they may pursue graduate work, research, teaching in the secondary schools, and various types of industry.
