Concert Attendance Policies

Majors are required to attend 100 percent of the Wednesday afternoon recitals (including Music Convocation) and a minimum of four professional level performances, as approved by the faculty, each semester.

Music Theatre majors, Music minors, part-time majors and Interdisciplinary majors are required to attend 50 percent of the Wednesday afternoon recitals (including Music Convocation) and a minimum of three professional level performances, as approved by the faculty, each semester.

A faculty member at each event verifies concert attendance. The student must check in with the faculty member before and after each event. Do not assume your name has been checked automatically. The responsibility rests with the student.

Permission to be excused from any event must be granted prior to the event. Failure to attend the required number of events will result in your Performance Studies grade being lowered one complete grade, i.e., B to C, B+ to C+, etc.
