Can students study part-time?

February 8th, 2011 by Tim

Students accepted into the nursing program may take prerequisite and general education courses on a part-time basis.  Pre-licensure students begin the nursing sequence in January of their junior year, after all general education, prerequisite and elective coursework is completed.  The nursing sequence is full-time and is completed in a cohort model in 4 consecutive semesters (spring, summer, fall, and spring).

Students in the RN-BS Program who have completed all prerequisites, general education and elective courses begin the nursing sequence in January and take 6-9 credits a semester in a cohort model for 4 consecutive terms (spring, summer, fall, spring).  Those who still have some electives and/or general education courses to complete may take additional courses during the nursing sequence.
