Philosophy Scholarships

Dr. Barbara Apostolou Scholarship in Philosophy
The purpose of this scholarship is to recognize Dr. Barbara Apostolou's outstanding undergraduate education at Plymouth State University, particularly in classes taught by Professor David Haight in the Department of Philosophy.

This annually funded scholarship will be awarded to an individual with academic merit and exceptional character who expresses an interest and is enrolled in philosophy courses.  The faculty in the Department of Philosophy should select the candidate for the award, which can go to a full-time student who will be a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior during the year for which the award is given.  If funding is renewed by the donor, the scholarship can be awarded to the same individual if recommended by the faculty.  The recipient must be a U.S. citizen.

* Students who would like to be considered for scholarships that identify financial need as a criteria will need to complete the Federal Financial Aid Application before the March 1 deadline. Academic and Non-Academic Departments offering scholarships collaborate with the Financial Aid Office, therefore, it is imperative that students comply with PSU policy. Please contact the Financial Aid Office for further assistance.
