PSU Dining Services Catering Guide - Customer Check List
Below a few questions to consider when preparing for your event:
- Where are you going to hold your event?
- Did you reserve the room?
- What is the day and date for your event?
- What are the starting time and ending time for your event?
- How many guests will be attending?
- Do you need special seating for VIP’s or a head table?
- Is the location of your event well publicized? Can guests find the room?
- What type of service best meets your needs? Buffet? Reception? Served?
- How long would you like to allow for different parts of your event?
- Would you like any extras? Candles? Flowers? Special colored linen?
- Do you need to make arrangements for parking or inclement weather?
- What about coats and umbrellas? Do you need a coat rack? Extra trash cans?
- Did you order you media needs? Podium? Music? Overhead and screen?
- Who is responsible for decorating the room and cleaning up?
- Are there restrooms near by and is the event handicapped accessible?
- Are extra tables needed for gifts, awards or registration?
- Has seating been assigned or is it random?
- Are alcoholic beverages being served, and if so, have arrangements been made?
- Have you notified the catering manager with a guaranteed number?
- Have you made the catering department aware of any last minute changes?
- If you are a PSU group, have you arranged for billing?
- If you are an outside group, have you paid your deposit and are you ready to pay the balance on the day of your event?
