October 2012
October 2012 is PSU’s second Queer History Month. Initiated by the Queer Council, an ad-hoc group of queer faculty and staff, and allies, the month’s nine events highlight contemporary queer issues, culture, and identity. The goal is to bring to campus a month of interesting and compelling programming on queer issues.

Miguel comes to terms with his love for another man, despite the strict moral code of his homeland. This award-winning Peruvian film will be shown in Spanish with English subtitles in conjunction with Hispanic Heritage Month. A discussion with refreshments will follow the film.

We Were Here is the first documentary to take a deep and reflective look back at the arrival and impact of AIDS in San Francisco. It explores how the city’s inhabitants were affected by, and how they responded to, that calamitous epidemic.
