Plymouth State University is a community that takes pride in celebrating diversity and embracing differences among all people. Diversity is one of our core values, and we have a long-standing commitment to being a more vibrant, inclusive, and multicultural community.

Because PSU is a student-centered institution, our priorities guide us to prepare students for life in a diverse world and to help them gain a global perspective. The President’s Commission on Diversity works to advance the university’s goals for diversity and student diversity fellows promote diversity awareness, particularly among residence hall students. Students participate in organizations such as the Globally Minded Student Organization, and ALSO, the PSU Gay/Straight Alliance. Students can also examine diversity through Women’s Studies and courses in other disciplines.
