Water Conservation:

In water conservation PSU has been active for many years.  Some areas of conservation to be noted include the following projects.

  1. Pemi was retrofitted with all new 2.5 gpm showerheads throughout.
  2. Nearly all toilet fixtures on the campus utilize flushometers which greatly reduce water consumption.
  3. Residential Life has almost competed the replacement of the older top loading washing machines in the Student Apartments, Belknap, Blair, Pemi, Mary Lyon, Samuel Read Hall, Smith, and Grafton Halls with water conserving, high efficiency front loading washers.
