As a education major you'll experience:

• Degrees in childhood studies and early childhood studies, with options in teacher certification, special education, and early care and education
• Accreditation of teacher preparation programs by the National Council for the Education of Teacher Education (NCATE) for 50 continuous years
• Coursework that focuses on promoting diversity, collaboration and developmentally-based education
• Practical classroom experience in local schools and child care centers, starting in your first year
• Dedicated faculty members who are respected leaders in their fields
• Opportunities to volunteer or intern at PSU's Child Development and Family Center or with the Educational Theatre Collaborative (ETC) theater program
