Don't Yell, Just Click - Web Help
In Fall 2004, the English Department offered an experimental section of Advanced Technical Communication. The class was tasked with creating an online Help system that would assist students with using myPlymouth and the Student Services functions of Banner. At the request of some faculty, we also documented selected features of WebCT. The students created a project plan, set their own milestone dates, created their own style guide, wrote, edited, and produced the HTML files, and even created a navigation system that resembles Microsoft Compiled Help but runs over the Internet. They added a suite of multimedia demonstrations (video AND audio) that is integrated into the Help system. They titled their Help system "Don't Yell, Just Click."
