About Liesl Lindley
Liesl Lindley is the Director of Clinical Instruction and the Clinical Education Coordinator for the Professional Athletic Training Education Programs. She teaches a number of courses in both the undergraduate and graduate degree programs. During her time at Plymouth State, she has provided athletic training services to many of the university’s athletic teams and she continues to serve as the primary athletic trainer for the women’s basketball team.
Ms. Lindley is an active member of the state and regional athletic training organizations, having served as President of the New Hampshire Athletic Trainers’ Association (NHATA) for two terms and as the New Hampshire representative for the National Athletic Trainers’ Association District One Executive Board. She is the chair of the NHATA Student Committee and has organized and led the NHATA Student Symposium Quiz Bowl since its inception. In addition to serving on a variety of departmental and university committees during her time at Plymouth State, Ms. Lindley also serves as a Research Advisor to students completing their Masters research in athletic training related fields of study.
As a clinical and didactic specialist, Ms. Lindley’s focus is on promoting the profession of athletic training through the educational and clinical development and advancement of students, and enhancing student success through the development of clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice. In her role as Director of Clinical Instruction, she develops clinical sites for athletic training students and ensures the continuing education and training for clinical preceptors who supervise the PSU athletic training students.
