The Frost School makes it possible for you to reach your goals with courses and degree programs offered evenings, weekends, and online.
Online courses - Online learning allows you to complete your coursework from home (or office, or anywhere) at times that are convenient to you. And, with 24-hour access to course materials, you can spend more time on areas that prove difficult and quickly move through material that comes easily to you. PSU provides a wealth of resources through its online library databases to support online education. Faculty are trained in current technology-based instructional practices.
Blended/Hybrid classes - Blended classes combine classroom-based instruction and online learning to offer the best of both. Usually the face-to-face classes are held once a week or less during the evenings or on the weekends with the remaining portion of the classes conducted online. Blended classes may include as few as one or two class meetings during a term to courses that have only a few classes replaced with online learning.
Weekend courses - Another convenient format for working adults are courses that meet weekends in an intensive format or as blended courses, for example two all day Saturday classes and the rest online.
We have advisors ready to discuss your goals and help you design a schedule that meets your needs.
Through the Frost School, you can take one course at a time when it is convenient for you and still make progress toward your degree year-round through courses offered fall, Winterim, spring or summer sessions.
The interdisciplinary studies degree also provides students with the flexibility to combine courses from two or more disciplines to create a degree program that meets their educational and/or career goals.
