Pet Policy

The purpose of this policy is to reasonably restrict the presence of animals on the Plymouth State University campus in order to protect health, ensure sanitary conditions, and limit liability issues that may arise from the keeping of animals in an educational environment.

Pets, with the exception of fish kept in an aquarium or fish bowl, are not permitted in Plymouth State University facilities. Other exceptions to this policy include bona fide assistance animals and animals used for educational, security, research purposes, or animals covered under the Residential Life Live-In Staff Pet Contract. Tying, chaining or otherwise restraining animals inside or outside PSU buildings is prohibited.

This Pet Policy is congruent with the State of NH 466:30 Dog Control Law as adopted by the Towns of Plymouth and Holderness.
