April 22-May 15, 2014
Studio Art – Karl Drerup Art Gallery
Graphic Design – Silver Center for the Arts
The BFA degrees in studio art and graphic design are intense, highly focused professional programs. Throughout the year, studio art majors delve into personal themes, motifs, and media to achieve a mature body of work, culminating in the selection of work featured in this threshold exhibit at the Karl Drerup Art Gallery. Graphic design majors create and define a fictitious company and spend the year producing a broad range of applications including logos, stationery, advertisements, posters, pamphlets, and publications. These materials are displayed in the Silver Center for the Arts atrium. BFA students in both programs are mentored by selected faculty members, although all faculty participate in critiques and individual dialog with the students throughout the experience.
Opening Reception: Tuesday, April 22, 4-6 p.m.
