The artists didn’t want to just hand the community the brochure and say, ‘you figure out how to make this a reality.’ They wanted to give them tools to realize the vision. So they broke the vision down into parts that could be tackled by teams or organizations with various expertise, and they developed a comprehensive action plan of materials. The brochure and plan were enthusiastically received at a public meeting. Then, Jackie returned to NYC, Ann returned to Massachusetts where she was living at the time, and Stephanie, who lived in Pittsburgh, took on a demanding job. The vision languished.
