Jane Bjerklie-Barry has worked at Plymouth State since 2007 as the international student adviser for all undergraduate and graduate students. In addition to her work advising international students on immigration matters and providing campus support and liaison services, she is coordinator of the International Student Orientation programs, is co-chair of International Education Week, and is active with other globally-focused campus programming efforts throughout the year. She serves on the Internationalization Advisory Committee, the President’s Commission on Diversity, and the Strategic Planning Committee for the Ctr for Diversity; she also advises university student organizations, and oversees two scholarship committees.  Professional memberships include NAFSA and The World Affairs Council of NH, and is a member of the NH International Education Conference Planning Committee. Jane is not only passionate about advising the global student population at PSU with regulatory expertise, understanding and advocacy, but also in building sustained support of a culturally diverse environment on Plymouth State’s campus.  She has an abiding interest in community affairs — her experience includes board positions on the Holderness Central School Board, the Holderness After-school Program, Holderness PTA, and White Mountain Youth Hockey. Married with two sons, she lives in Holderness, NH.
