Jane Bjerklie-Barry – International Student Advisor

Jane Bjerklie-Barry has worked at Plymouth State since 2007. She is the international student advisor for all undergraduate and graduate students. In addition to her work advising international students on immigration matters and providing campus support and liaison services, she is co-coordinator for the Orientation Program for incoming international students, coordinates with CGE and GEO staff on globally-oriented campus programming, and is co-chair of International Education Week. She serves on the Internationalization Steering Committee, ASSIST, the International Recruitment Working Group, the President’s Commission on Diversity, and the Strategic Planning Committee for the Ctr for Diversity. She also serves on the NH International Education Conference Planning Committee. Professional memberships include NAFSA and The World Affairs Council of NH. Jane is not only passionate about guiding and advising the global student population at PSU, but also in nurturing the sustained support of a diverse and cultural environment on our campus. She has an abiding interest in community affairs, and served as a member of the Holderness Central School Board, as well as on the boards of the Holderness ACE Afterschool Program, the Holderness PTA, and White Mountain Youth Hockey. Married with two sons, she lives in Holderness, NH.

Peter  joined the Global Education Office in December, 2009. Prior to that, Peter was the Business Liaison Officer for Plymouth State University, a position that he still fulfills along with his internship responsibilities in the Global Education Office. Peter holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and a MBA, both from Plymouth State University.

Jessie joined the Global Education Office in January, 2009. She advises students on internship eligibility, study abroad opportunities, and career resources. She also serves as the assistant coordinator of our domestic exchange program, NSE, and international graduate student advisor.  Jessie brings 8 years of prior PSU experience to the Office.

Lisa Ladd

Lisa has been serving Plymouth State for 20 years.  She is the assistant director of the Freshman Study Abroad Program at the University of Limerick in Ireland and the risk manager for faculty led global programs. She also serves as advisor to international graduate students, exchange visitors, and international employees.  Prior to joining the Global Education Office she was the international employee assistant in the Human Resources Office. Lisa earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from Plymouth State University.

Jessica Morel has been a member of the Global Education Office staff at Plymouth State University since 2001. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and a Master’s of Education in counseling, both from Plymouth State. Prior to joining Global Education Office, she spent five years in the Plymouth State Admissions Office as assistant director.

Deb Regan has been a member of the Global Education Office staff at Plymouth State since 1998 and has been working in the field of international education for more than 20 years.  She sits on the Advisory Board for CIS – Abroad and International Advisory Council of University Partners for GlobaLinks Learning Abroad and  holds membership in NAFSA: Association of International Educators and Forum on Education Abroad. Deb is also a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE) and has co-authored a book-length guide to career opportunities for Criminal Justice majors published as part of the “Great Job” series by McGraw Hill Publishing Company. She holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling.

International Programming Coordinator

Jessica Pine joined the Global Education Office as the International Programming Coordinator in May 2012.  Prior to that, Jessica was the Director of Study Abroad at American University of Nigeria.  During her time in Nigeria she also was the Director for a primary school.  Jessica has ten years of teaching experience, ranging from primary school to graduate level.  She earned her Masters degree in International Training and Education from American University in Washington DC.  She is currently pursuing her Certificate of Advanced Degree Studies in Educational Leadership at Plymouth State University.
