PSU provides study abroad students an opportunity to apply for the Barbara Wiley Scholarship.  Applications are available through the Associate Vice President of Academic Affairs Office as well as online.

The U.S. government believes it is important for citizens to be better educated about the world and is providing scholarship assistance to help college students engage in overseas study. Below are links to additional scholarship opportunities. Read the instructions carefully since some scholarships do have a service component associated with receipt of the scholarship.

All of these scholarships are competitive with other students around the U.S.  To be the most competitive it is important to:

  • Read instructions carefully and check the application deadlines
  • Prepare a draft of your essay and have it reviewed by a faculty member, the Writing Center (Lamson Library) or a study abroad advisor

  • Scholarships awarded:  Application available on API’s website
  • Scholarships offered specifically to PSU students, based on previous year’s enrollment

AIFS

  • Scholarships awarded:  Applications available on AIFS’s website
  • Money awarded to PSU annually

Arcadia University Center for Education Abroad

  • Scholarships awarded:  Applications available on Arcadia’s website

GlobaLinks Learning Abroad

  • Scholarships awarded  offered to students:  Applications available on the GloabLinks website
  • Money awarded to PSU annually, based on previous year’s enrollment

CIEE

  • Scholarships awarded:  Applications available on CIEE’s website

CIS

  • Application fee waived
  • Scholarships awarded to students:  Application available on CIS’s website
  • Scholarships awarded specifically to PSU Adventure Ed./Phys. Ed. students:  Application available from GEO

LaTrobe University

  • $500 scholarship each year

Roehampton University

  • $500 scholarship each year

SIT

  • Scholarships awarded:  Applications available on SIT’s website

Semester at Sea

  • NH Residents only – (2) bridge scholarships awarded annually – covers the difference between PSU’s tuition and Semester at Sea’s tuition.
  • Work Study grants awarded:  Applications available on Semester at Sea’s website

Spanish Studies Abroad

  • Application fee waived
  • 10% discount on every invoice

 Study Abroad Italy

  • Scholarships awarded:  Application available on Study Abroad Italy’s website
  • Affiliate discounts available, between $250-750 each semester
