American University of Antigua (AUA)

American University of Antigua medical students are invited to apply for admission to Plymouth State University’s online MBA with a focus in Health Care Administration.

Accredited by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) and New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC), the health care administration MBA prepares AUA College of Medicine students to work with hospital administrators and provides the foundational knowledge necessary to run or join a medical practice.

The health care administration online MBA curriculum consists of ten courses: four Health Care Administration core, four MBA core, and two elective courses. Students accepted into the MBA degree program register for one, three-credit course per ten-week term. Complete the program in as little as two years on a part-time basis or take up to six years to better accommodate your schedule. No admission tests (GMAT or GRE) are required.

The PSU MBA requires that all students satisfy 11 Common Professional Components (CPC) for acceptance into the MBA degree program. CPCs may be satisfied using coursework, work experience, non-credit workshops, CLEP or DANTES tests, or a departmental competency exam. There is a $75 fee for each competency exam.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Current in-state and out-of-state tuition rates are set annually by the Board of Trustees of the University System of New Hampshire and are subject to change. Students should expect to spend $100-$200 on texts and materials each term. A one time $75 application fee must be paid upon submitting the application.

Students who enroll in one course per term will be eligible to apply for Title IV Federal Aid. Visit the Financial Aid Web site for complete eligibility information and instructions to apply. AUA students are welcome to use the ‘living expense’ money to pay for housing and transportation while in Antigua or on rotations, however Title IV funds from Plymouth (or any other grad school) should never be used to pay tuition at AUA, as this violates federal student loan regulations.

Application and Admissions Process

We encourage you to apply online to the MBA with a focus in Health Care Administration. Students who have completed a bachelor’s degree will be eligible for MBA consideration (Med 5 and above students may apply for an AUA bachelor’s degree by filling out the AUA Degree Audit Form).

Once you’ve accessed Plymouth State’s online application, under ‘Program of Study’ select Master of Business Administration (MBA), ‘Major’ select General management (GEMG), ‘Concentration’ select PSU-AUA Health Care MBA (SEDE), and leave ‘Self-Designed Focus’ blank.

To streamline the application process, you may authorize Plymouth State to use your three letters of recommendation (your AUA interview will count as one of the letters), application forms, résumés, and personal statements that you submitted when applying for admission to AUA. All official transcripts from all undergraduate colleges should be sent to Plymouth State; however, Plymouth State will use transcripts on file at AUA for their initial decision.

You must release your AUA records to Plymouth State by completing and faxing the FERPA release form to (917) 677-7166 or scan and e-mail the release form to Danielle Hermon. You’ll receive a confirmation of receipt of the FERPA form within two (2) business days. If you don’t receive a confirmation, resend the form to Danielle Hermon. AUA will not release your records without this form. This form is the only record AUA has that you intend to enroll in the Plymouth State MBA program.

Complete the remainder of the online application and follow the prompts to pay the non-refundable $75 application fee.

All AUA applicants will be “provisionally accepted” upon submitting the Plymouth State application and fee. If you are seeking financial aid you must immediately apply for financial aid. On receipt of your provisional acceptance notification, log in to your myPlymouth account to complete your financial aid application. Visit the Financial Aid Web site for step-by-step instructions on how to apply for graduate financial aid. Please note: non-US citizens are welcome to enroll in the program but may not be eligible for US Federal Student loans. See fafsa.ed.gov for additional information.

If you do not receive your provisional acceptance notification within one (1) week of submitting your application e-mail Chuck Doyle.

Your official admissions acceptance letter and instructions to register for classes will be sent 1-2 weeks prior to the start of classes.
