Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery

If you are unable to come to the library building, you may request that material be sent to you regardless of whether or not the Library owns the book or periodical. Before submitting an Interlibrary Loan request, you may wish to contact the Reference Desk to verify that the material you need is not available at Lamson Library or from one of our databases.

To submit an Interlibrary Loan request, log into myPlymouth and click on the Library tab. From the Library Web site, click on the Interlibrary Loan (ILLiad) link. You must register the first time you use the ILLiad software for interlibrary loan. To do that, click on “First Time User” and fill in the appropriate registration information. Interlibrary Loan Department contact information and FAQs are also available on this page.

Unless you request otherwise, all journal article requests will be made available to you electronically via e-mail notification. Your book requests will be mailed to you directly via U.S. Mail.

For faster service, use the GET IT link within EBSCOhost databases such as Academic Search Premier for journal articles. You may also wish to use the WordCat database for faster service with book requests if you have a specific book title that you need. You will need to register for an account in ILLiad first.
