Applying for Graduate Study

The admissions review board carefully considers each applicant’s academic record, essay, recommendation letters, scores on appropriate standardized tests, and other factors that reflect a student’s academic potential and motivation.

In addition to having a baccalaureate degree from an accredited four-year institution, graduate applicants must also meet appropriate academic department criteria to be eligible for admission. Students should consult with program coordinators or advisors about specific admissions requirements.

The College of Graduate Studies considers applications on a rolling admission basis. Students may apply at any time of the year. Students may take up to 12 graduate credits before being officially admitted to the program.

Step-by-Step Admission Application Procedures

Students wishing to apply to all graduate programs should follow these procedures.
