Pursuing a Graduate Certificate

To pursue a graduate certificate independent from a degree program, you don’t need to apply for admission. Upon the completion of your graduate certificate requirements, you’ll need to meet the following requirements in order for your certificate to be awarded:

  • Maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Clear any financial or academic holds

If you’re not currently a graduate student or haven’t previously completed a graduate program at Plymouth State, you need to provide a transcript showing the successful completion of a bachelor’s degree or higher and a current résumé.

If you’re pursuing a certificate in conjunction with a master’s degree or CAGS program, please be sure to note that information in your admissions application.

Once you’ve completed the required coursework for your graduate certificate program, you’ll need to submit a Petition for Graduate Certificate form and all supporting materials. Your file will be reviewed and a formal certificate will be mailed to you.
