State-of-the-art equipment is utilized to perform analyses, exercise testing and prescription, for the purpose of performance enhancement. Under the supervision of faculty, students gain valuable practical experience in a variety of laboratory techniques. Available equipment within the laboratory includes:
Motion Monitor
Tek Scan MatScan® SystemYet another piece of equipment is the Tek Scan MatScan® System. This device not only allows for the mapping of the pressure under the foot in a weight bearing position, but also provides for tracking the translation of center of pressure during semi-dynamic and dynamic movement activities.
Biotonix BioprintAdditionally available is the Biotonix Bioprint which allows for a computerized static postural assessment.
Body MapFor Dynamic Postural Assessment, the Body Map is available. This system was designed by the National Academy of Sports Medicine and is use to qualitatively assess movement and peformance dysfunction.
