Plymouth State University
Career and Internship Opportunities

Internships

As a graduate student, you have the opportunity to complete a variety of internships related to your program of study, with the approval of the Associate Vice President for Graduate Studies and your program advisor. Field and University supervisors will work with you to determine specific learning outcomes that will result from your experiences. During your internship, you will construct a learning portfolio to document specific skills or research findings gained during the internship.

Plymouth State University relies on professional partnerships with community agencies and individuals who agree to assist graduate students in this apprenticeship-learning model. Typically, students spend 120 to 150 clock hours for a three-credit internship experience (40 hours per credit hour), depending on the discipline.

Note: Internships and observations at public schools may require a New Hampshire criminal records check. Inquires should be directed to the Office of Teacher Accreditation, Assessment and Clinical Experiences.
