An articulation agreement with Argosy University of Sarasota allows Plymouth State University candidates to pursue a Doctor of Education (Ed. D.) degree in either Educational Leadership or Curriculum and Instruction at the K-12 level or in Higher Education. This collaborative venture combines Plymouth State CAGS core courses (18 credits) with distance learning and courses in residence at Argosy University of Sarasota. Argosy University of Sarasota has approximately 3,500 graduate students, who come from all over the United States and from around the world. Program of Study
The total number of credits required by Argosy University for the Doctor of Education degree is 60, 18 of which come directly from Plymouth State CAGS core courses. Thirty credits of coursework from Argosy are required along with the final 12-credit dissertation. Candidates for this program work with their Plymouth State advisor as well as a dedicated Argosy advisor. A Plymouth State candidate may complete as many as 12 required Argosy course credits through special course sections offered on the Plymouth State campus. These special Argosy course sections are:
