Program Overview

Plymouth State University is a Carnegie Master's I institution, offering degrees through the master's level as well as the post-master's Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies. The College of Graduate Studies and our doctoral partnership institutions offer coursework that promotes research, best practices and reflection.

The Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies (CAGS) is designed for professionals in education or related fields. The program consists of six core courses (18 credits) followed by various strands, including courses from our partner institutions leading to the doctorate.

Plymouth State’s CAGS program is affiliated with Doctor of Education degree programs in educational leadership or curriculum and instruction at Argosy University of Sarasota in Sarasota, Florida, and a Doctor of Arts degree in transformational leadership at Franklin Pierce University in Concord, New Hampshire.
