Profile

Annette Mitchell is the Plymouth State University art department’s drawing coordinator in addition to teaching courses in multi-plate printmaking. She also coordinates student shows in the Collins Gallery, an exhibition space for art majors, and supervises art department models. She is known for her creative exploration in the areas of printmaking, painting, and art quilting and is the inventor of the foam-plate printing process. Mitchell has published several reviews for Art New England Magazine and has also published a book and accompanying DVD entitled Foam is Where the Art Is: New Ways to Print. She has been named New Hampshire Art Teacher of the Year.
