Profile

Kerry Yurewicz is a community ecologist interested in how species interactions affect the performance of individuals and shape patterns of abundance and diversity in nature. She has also studied the ecology of body size and its consequences to populations and communities. Most of her work on these topics has been in freshwater systems on amphibians and invertebrates, using approaches ranging from laboratory experiments on animal behavior to long-term surveys of natural habitats. Kerry joined the Department of Biological Sciences in 2004.
