Danielle M. Philipson

Danielle M. Philipson has more than 10 years of experience in health care administration, including experience providing online education in the healthcare field. She holds a Master of Health Administration from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Arts from University of California, Irvine. Mrs. Philipson has taught courses on the fundamentals of medical terminology, medical law and ethics, healthcare planning and evaluation, and healthcare finance, among others. As the management system data manager at MemorialCare Health Services in Fountain Valley, Calif., she is responsible for developing organization-wide training regarding the use of data in decision making and managing the infrastructure to support five hospitals and one shared services campus. She has previously worked as the senior performance improvement coordinator at Long Beach Memorial Medical Center (Long Beach, Calif.) and as a clinical performance analyst at Eisenhower Medical Center (Rancho Mirage, Calif.). In addition to her experience in hospital environments, Mrs. Philipson has worked in a variety of other healthcare settings including a student health center, a pediatrics office, and an imaging company. Since 2006, she has served as an online adjunct faculty member and has developed healthcare courses for a number of institutions, including South University Online in Savannah, Ga., Heald College in San Francisco, Calif., Delta Career Education Corporation in Virginia Beach, Va., and Corinthian Colleges in Santa Ana, Calif. In 2010, she was named online instructor of the year by Corinthian Colleges. She has also served as a faculty mentor and an online tutor. In her spare time, Mrs. Philipson enjoys traveling internationally and participating in half marathons.
