Profile

Mr. Gaylord taught Social Studies for thirteen years in three different Maine school systems. He has served as an assistant principal, a principal, an assistant superintendent, and for the past fifteen years as superintendent. Currently, he is Superintendent for SAU21, a six district system.

 

Degrees and Education


Mr. Gaylord earned his BA in History with a minor in Education from the University of Maine. He has an MEd and had completed all of the course work leading to a Doctorate from the same institution.

 

Associations, Boards and Committees


Mr. Gaylord is a member of NHSAA, AASA, and ASCD. He has served on the Executive Committee of NHSAA and was President of that organization,taking part in a variety of committee assignments. He also served as a member of the New England Committee advising AASA on resolutions. He has Chaired the North Country Superintendents organization and the School Care Board of Trustees, as well a being a member of the Executive Committee of KidsVote NH.
