John PappalardoGraduate Adjunct Faculty, Business Office phone number: (603) 535-2622 Administrative contact: Department of Business Plymouth State University Profile Along with Bachelor of Arts degrees in History and Geography Professor Pappalardo holds a Master's degree in Education and a Ph.D. in Urban Services. Professor Pappalardo has done Post Graduate work at George Washington University and Vermont Law School. He has worked for the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Management, several New Jersey manufacturing firms, and has taught in both the New Hampshire and Massachusetts public schools. He served as the Director of the State Disadvantaged Student Program at Mount Wachusett Community College, Massachusetts from 1979-1981. From 1981-1986 Dr. Pappalardo served as Assistant Dean with George Washington University and was Dean of the Hampton Roads Graduate Center where he taught Research Methods with the GWU School of Education and Human Development. From 1986-1988 he served as Special Assistant to the Dean of Continuing Education at GWU, and was a consultant with the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation's Department of Human Resources. Prior to joining the Management Department at Keene State College, Dr. Pappalardo was the Southwest Regional Director of the New Hampshire Small Business Development Center. In addition to teaching management classes at the undergraduate level, Professor Pappalardo also teaches Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management for Plymouth State's MBA program. Professor Pappalardo is a member of the Academy of Management, and Organizational Behavior Teaching Society. He has presented papers at regional, national, and international conferences including those of the Academy of Management, the Organizational Behavior Teaching Society, the New Hampshire College and University Council; and has published in the proceedings of the Institute of Behavioral and Applied Management, and the International Society for Experimental Teaching Alternatives. In 1996 Dr. Pappalardo co-hosted with Dr. Herman and their OB colleagues from the USNH the 23 rd annual OBTC. He also served as a reviewer for Houghton Mifflin and Dryden Publishing. He has recently developed a new course in "Leadership" in conjunction with the Hurricane Island Outward Bound School. His research interests include Leadership, Service, and Experiential Learning.
