Profile

Kathleen Burns Kingsbury is a licensed mental health counselor and national speaker on issues and treatment of eating disorders, the dangers of dieting and other related topics. She has worked in the field of eating disorders since 1992, and serves as chairperson for NEDA’s National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, the nation’s largest eating disorders outreach effort, and the founder of the South Shore Eating Disorder Collaborative. Kingsbury has been a guest on National Public Radio and has been interviewed for various publications, including the Boston Globe, Boston Herald and other local and national media sources. She runs a private counseling practice in Quincy, Mass., and operates KBK Connections, a business designed to help healthcare providers, nonprofit agencies and small business owners market their services to the community.
