Profile

Marie-Therese Gardner holds a B.A. from the University of Paris, France; a B.A. from Boston University; and a Master in French Literature degree from Boston College. She also received her CAGS here at PSU in May 2007. She has been nominated three times to Who's Who among American's Teachers since 2002. Her book, La Justice Criminelle: c'est la loi! has been completed and taught in French for Criminal Justice I and II. Her work-textbook for French for Criminal Justice is the first book on the topic written in French in the United States. She is a member of AATF (American Association of French Teachers), NWALT (New Hampshire Association of World Language Teachers) and ACTFL (American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Language. Currently she is researching on the Normands from France and will be establishing a link between the first settlers from "La Nouvelle France" Canada and the Normands from La Normandie as far as 1500's, about their modes of life and their language. She enjoys gardening, cooking, swimming and travel, as well as challenging intellectual curiosity by creating Power Point presentations and writing on various topics.
