John Donovan joined the PSU faculty in 2007 after teaching at the University of Maine in Orono and Medaille College in Buffalo, NY. He earned is PhD in Mathematics Education in 2002 from SUNY Buffalo. His research interests are in students understanding of mathematical concepts, in particular the networks of relationships that are formed between concepts in students minds. He teaches courses for future elementary, middle, and secondary mathematics teachers on mathematics content and pedagogy. John keeps busy outside of class with his five active children and running the Pemi Baker Soccer Club.
