Profile

Stacey Yap is a professor of sociology and coordinator of the Master of Education in heritage studies program. She was formerly a research director for Consensus Research Southeast Asia Co., Ltd., a marketing research company in Singapore, and a faculty member of the Marketing Institute of Singapore. Yap has completed extensive research on the roles of Asian-American women in the United States, as well as other topics in historic preservation and sociology. She has published several articles and book chapters on topics including women and migration, Asian American women’s politics and family life.
