Graduate Writing Assistant

Welcome Graduate Students!

The Graduate Writing Assistant is available during office hours or by appointment.

The GWA provides editorial assistance with:

  • The presentation of your ideas
  • The coherence of your argument
  • The clarity of your composition
  • The precision of your APA or MLA formatting

Although proofreading is an important element of the writing process, the GWA does not provide that service.

The best time to see the GWA is after you have completed your first draft and long before the final draft is due. For help with general writing questions, or even with specific problems, any time is the best time.
