Mathematics EducationFeatures of the programThe M.Ed. in Mathematics Education degree has two programs, 5–8 Mathematics Education and 7–12 Mathematics Education. Middle school teachers may select either program, as both are appropriate to that educational level. Both programs are designed to strengthen the mathematics and pedagogical background of the M.Ed. candidate in the program. The program also seeks to raise students' awareness of current thinking in the field of mathematics education and in education in general. The goals of the program are to:
