Promoting Standards Based Curricula in Science & Mathematics

The New Hampshire Impact Center was made possible by a grant from the Center for the Enhancement of Science and Mathematics Education (CESAME) at Northeastern University. The Center was funded on April 1, 1999, and currently maintains a Curriculum Implementation Center at Plymouth State University to assist New Hampshire teachers and school districts. The Center provides assistance in implementing standards-based science and mathematics curriculum materials that will enrich and enhance the learning of science and mathematics for all New Hampshire children.

The Center is working with the education community to build awareness of the several National Science Foundation-funded curricula now available, and will assist schools with the adoption and implementation of these curricula. The Center, in cooperation with CESAME, has recruited and trained a cadre of Curriculum Trainers (CTs), who will be prepared to deliver quality professional development in specific NSF-funded, standards-based programs in science and mathematics as well as Math Recovery.

Goals and Objectives
