Earn Graduate Credit for Work Linked to the Annual ASCD Conferences

Through a program developed by ASCD and Plymouth State, educators can earn graduate level credit for projects they complete in conjunction with attending the Annual ASCD conference and/or ASCD Professional Development Institutes. Educators can earn from one to three credits, depending on the extent of the follow up work they do under supervision of a faculty member.

One credit requirements
Students will attend at least one day of the conference/professional development institute and write a brief paper reviewing the key points of the sessions and the application of these points to their educational position. Students can fax or e-mail their summary (about 3 pages) and obtain feedback from the instructor.

Two credit requirements
Students will attend the conference/professional development institute for two or more days and write an action plan to implement ideas into their schools and classrooms. A summary of key ideas, a timeline, and an evaluation plan including research, should be included in this plan. Students should correspond with the faculty member periodically to receive feedback (at least twice during the semester).

Three credit requirements
Students will attend the full conference/ professional development institute and write an action plan (see above). In addition, students should submit an annotated bibliography of research and readings associated with this plan (approximately five to ten readings, including online information, books, journals, etc.)
