McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center

Through a program developed by Plymouth State University (PSU) and the McAuliffe-Shepart Discovery Center, students can earn graduate level credits in science for courses they complete in conjunction with McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center teacher workshops.

Teacher workshops meet at the McAuliffe-Shepart Discovery Center on the second Wednesday of the month from 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. They are designed to help educators become "Highly Qualified" in the areas of astronomy, space, and earth science to meet the "No Child Left Behind" standards.

Tuition Information

Graduate credits are offered at a rate of $125 per credit plus a $25 administrative fee per registration.

Graduate credit instructions

  1. Register, pay and participate in a McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center teacher workshop.
  2. Complete the Plymouth State University graduate course registration form:
  3. Return PSU registration form with full tuition payment.
  4. Once the paperwork is received and the student registered, a confirming e-mail is sent to all the e-mail accounts provided on the registration form.
