Project Adventure

Through a program developed by Plymouth State University (PSU) and Project Adventure (PA), students can earn graduate level credits from PSU for the successful completion of PA workshops. Visit the Project Adventure Web site for information on current Project Adventure workshops.

Cost Information

Graduate credits are offered at a rate of $135 per credit plus a $25 administrative fee per registration. Graduate credit is available for all Project Adventure workshops, except one-day programs. Two credits are available for workshop attendance with an additional two credits available upon completion of an independent study project.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are also available for most workshops at $15 per workshop. Please contact Gail Carr, Director of Continuing Education, for additional information.

Graduate Credit Instructions

  1. Register, pay and attend a Project Adventure workshop.
  2. Complete the Plymouth State University graduate course registration form included in the packet received at your PA workshop.
    • Clearly indicate the name of the PA workshop you are registering for on the registration form. The department and course number are already provided on the registration form (PA 5560).
    • The number of credits for participating in a PA workshop is generally two; however, there are a few PA workshops that are four credits. Your PA workshop instructor will provide you with this information.
    • Students registering for an additional two credits for an independent study project must clearly indicate this on a separate line on the same registration form. The department and course number is the same (PA 5560); however the course title should clearly be listed as Independent Study.
  3. Please return the PSU registration form with your full tuition payment along with:
    • A copy of your PA Certificate of Completion for the workshop(s) attended.
    • A 3-5 page reflection paper for each workshop attended. The topic of this reflection is to review the learning experience and its application in your professional environment.
    • If registering for an Independent Study, please include a completed independent study proposal form (this form is also included in the packet received at your PA workshop).
  4. Once you have sent in your paperwork, you will receive a confirmation e-mail assigning you a faculty member who will evaluate your PA workshop reflective paper(s). Students registering for an Independent Study will also be assigned a faculty member in the confirmation e-mail to evaluate their project.
