Annie Forts Up Syndrome Fund Scholarship
Dear Graduate Students, I invite you to apply for this year's Annie Forts Up Syndrome Fund, Inc. scholarship. Annie Forts of Center Harbor is an advocate for special needs students and a motivational speaker. She started the Up Syndrome Fund 10 years ago to help provide funding for Down syndrome support programs and students seeking special education teaching certification. This is a wonderful opportunity for graduate students studying special education and is made possible through caring educators and families who wish to recruit outstanding teachers for special education. To formally apply for a scholarship, please submit a two to three page narrative discussing your professional goals and commitment to the field of special education. Along with the narrative, you may also include other related information pertaining to your need for these funds. Please mail all materials to Ellanna Tallent, College of Graduate Studies – MSC 11, 17 High Street, Plymouth, NH, 03264-1595. Your completed application package must be received by February 10, 2008. Final selection of scholarship recipients will be determined by April 15, 2008 and awards will be disbursed for the fall term of 2008. We look forward to receiving your application. Sincerely, Dennise M. Maslakowski, Ed.D. |
