Health Services and Insurance

Health Services

As a student, you have access to outpatient and inpatient services at Health Services. A nurse is on duty during the facility’s hours of operation and a University physician or nurse practitioner is available during scheduled clinic hours. Additional services offered include:

  • Reproductive health clinic
  • Medical clinic
  • Cold clinic
  • Storage and administration of medications
  • Allergy immunization
  • Health and wellness programs

Plymouth State Health Services is located at 16 Merrill Street, behind Hyde Hall.

Health Insurance

With the high cost of medical care, all students are strongly encouraged to have health insurance coverage, although it is not required for attendance. Two insurance options exist for graduate students:

  • Blue Cross individual plans
  • GradMed short-term health insurance

Blue Cross individual plans provide comprehensive student and family coverage and are available through agencies in Plymouth and throughout New Hampshire. GradMed offers short-term health insurance plans with a variety of individual and family plan options.
