Examines the knowledge, skills and values that the entry-level athletic trainer must possess to recognize, treat, refer, when appropriate, the general medical conditions, illnesses and disabilities of athletes and others involved in physical activity. Students learn to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, within the discipline of Athletic Training and across disciplines with other members of the allied health and medical communities and the general public.
