

About Angel Ekstrom
As the Coordinator of for Adventure Based Programs and an Adventure Education Instructor at PSU, Angel Ekstrom manages the challenge course, indoor climbing wall and advises Adventured Education students. She also coordinates the Venture Center program.
Angel has worked in the outdoor field in a variety of roles. She has been a field instructor for Outward Bound and NOLS, a programmer and trip leader in University outdoor programs, a therapeutic wilderness counselor working with adjudicated males and developmentally disabled ages ranging from 5-95. She has also been involved in the community as an EMT and active member of search and rescue. She has worked as a professional ski patroller and as a manager/guide for Snowest Snowmobile Tours in Colorado. During several summers, Angel worked for several summer leadership youth programs.
She has taught a variety of programs and skills including: rock climbing, paddling, mountaineering, snow orientation, canyoneering, backpacking, adventure skills, ropes facilitator courses, orienteering, life guarding, CPR, first aid, AED and oxygen administration.
She lives in Rumney, NH with her husband Rodney and their dog Juneau. Angel enjoys climbing, skiing, paddling and eating homemade ice cream.
