Arriving late to a math class, a student mistook the unsolvable problems on the board for a homework assignment. He then took them home and solved them.
Truth >> Popularized by the movie, 'Good Will Hunting', this did actually occur at the University of California, Berkeley in 1939. George Bernard Dantzig, a doctoral candidate was late to class one day, and jotted down what he assumed was a homework assignment. When he turned in the assignment, he apologized to the teacher for turning it in late, but he said that the problems were harder than usual and took him a bit more time than normal. Several days later, his extremely excited professor woke him up early to ask him to co-write a paper on the problems.
