Americorps

AmeriCorps members are Americans of all ages who have made a commitment to serve their communities and country. Since 1994, more than 250,000 men and women have served in AmeriCorps, providing assistants to millions of Americans.

Here at Plymouth State University we administer the Education Award program for students who wish to receive a scholarship in return for their service hours.

Education awards are given as follows:
• For 300 hours of service a $1000 scholarship
• For 450 hours of service a $1250 scholarship

As an AmeriCorps member, you are expected to adhere to the AmeriCorp pledge: "I will get things done for America".
