To generate a Program Evaluation for a student’s current program of study:

ATTENTION STUDENTS: A new advising tool is now available to you via myPlymouth! CAPP (Curriculum Advising and Program Planning) is a program which allows you to measure your progress toward graduation. CAPP outlines your degree requirements and indicates whether requirements are Met or Unmet.

 

Haven’t declared a major yet? Or thinking of changing majors? CAPP can help you with that as well! Simply follow the directions for What-If Analysis which allows you to see how your credits and courses would apply to any major/option offered at the university.

 

Now you can prepare to meet with your advisor and have all the information you need at your fingertips. Just follow these directions on how to access your program evaluation:

 

To generate a Program Evaluation for your currently declared program of study:

 

  1. Log into myPlymouth.
  2. Select the Student Services tab.
  3. Under Banner Self Service, select the Student & Financial Aid menu.
  4. Select Student Records.
  5. Select Degree Evaluation.
  6. You should see “CAPP Evaluation Term”. Click the Submit button.
  7. Verify your program information.

If this is the correct program, click the Generate New Evaluation link at the

            bottom of the page.

  If the program is not correct, please file a change of major and/or option with the Registrar’s Office. To generate a program evaluation for a different       major/option than is displayed on this page, following the instructions below for “What-If Analysis”.

  1. Click the radio button next to your program of study.
  2. Click the Generate Request button.
  3. Click Detail Requirements.
  4. Click Submit.
  5. View or print the program evaluation.

 

 

To generate a “What-If Analysis”:

 

  1. Log into myPlymouth.
  2. Select the Student Services tab.
  3. Under Banner Self Service, select the Student & Financial Aid menu.
  4. Select Student Records.
  5. Select Degree Evaluation.
  6. You should see “CAPP Evaluation Term”. Click the Submit button.
  7. Select the What-If Analysis link from the bottom of the page.
  8. You must select an Entry Term. Note: this is the catalog you are following.     For example, if you are following the 2004-2005 catalog, select
         either Fall 2004 or Spring 2005 here.
  9. Click the Continue button.
  10. Select the appropriate program (degree and major combination) from
         the drop-down box.  NOTE: the list is alphabetical by degree, then major. So,   

           all BA degrees come first, then BFA, then BS.

  1. Click the Continue Button.
  2. Select the only option that appears in the First Major drop-down box.
         Note: This is a combination of the major and department.
  3. Click the Add More button.
  4. Select the appropriate Option. Note that you can enter up to three 
         options at one time.
         (Caution: some programs have no options. In this case, select “None”.
         However, some programs offer “No Option” as a viable option. If this
         is the case, be sure to select “No Option”.)
  5. To enter a minor, click the Add More button, otherwise, click the
         Submit button.
  6. Select a minor from the drop-down box. Note that you can select up to
         two minors at a time.
  7. Click the Submit button.
  8. Be sure CAPP Evaluation Term is in the Evaluation Term: selection box.
  9. Click the Generate Request button.
  10. Choose Detail Requirements.
  11. Click the Submit button.
  12. View or print the program evaluation.
