Wireless Access Zones: Wireless network technology is similar to that of cordless phones, which must be used within range of their base. Your properly equipped laptop computer must be within range of wireless hub antennas, or hot spots, to access PSU Wireless network. The network connections will be stronger the closer you are to the access points. Most locations have multiple access points, with each access point capable of serving up to 25+ computers simultaneously.

How to connect to PSU Wireless: PSU Wireless is available only for PSU students, faculty and staff. Each time you turn on your laptop in a wireless zone, you will need to sign in with your PSU username and password.

1. Launch  Internet Explorer or Firefox

2. Browse to a website, such as google.com or yahoo.com

3. A page should appear entitled "Authenticate for Wireless or ResNet use"

4. Enter in your PSU username and password in the spaces provided. (Note: If you don't see this page, contact the Information Desk at the Lamson Learning Commons.)

5. Upon successful login, a next page will appear with a button labeled "Continue to Browse the Web"

6.Click this button and you'll be able to access the Internet

If you are in need of further assistance, please feel free to bring your laptop to Lamson Library and visit the Help Desk.
