Scholarships & Cost Containment

students learning guitarFinancial assistance for international students applying to Plymouth State University is limited. Typical financial aid is underwritten and subsidized by the United States government, and therefore such aid is only available to U.S. citizens. Recognizing this, PSU offers the following opportunities:

International Student Scholarships
  • A limited number of tiered undergraduate scholarships are available for incoming and returning International Students. Criteria for receiving the scholarship include cultural exchange, community enhancement and academic success. Applications are available through the International Student Services office.
PSU International Fellow
  • This fellowship is for returning (both international and domestic) PSU students who consider themselves to be leaders on campus, as well as consider themselves to be engaged in global and multicultural awareness.  Requirements include the ability to commit time, particularly in the Fall, and a minimum 2.5 GPA, among other criteria. $1500 is awarded per semester.
PSU Diversity Fellows
  • A fellowship administered through PSU's Residential Life department. This student will be a part of a proactive educational group to promote awareness and value of diversity to society and to the on-campus housing community at PSU. $1000 is awarded per semester.
